April 15 – September 11, 2026 | Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit Ads, Vibe TV
Executive Summary
On April 15, 2026, Melleka Marketing took over Vegamour's paid media with a singular mission: hit a minimum 3x ROAS while scaling to $300K+ monthly Google Ads spend. Over the past five months, we have built a multi-platform performance engine across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (Bing), Reddit Ads, and Vibe TV that is now positioned to dominate Q4 and the holiday season.

The Story: We inherited an account with potential but no clear scaling strategy. Over 5 months, we restructured Google Ads from the ground up, resurrected a dead Bing account into a 2.99x ROAS machine, launched Reddit as a profitable new channel at 4.0x ROAS, and shifted strategy in August toward new customer acquisition (NCAC) and top-of-funnel awareness to build the pipeline for Q4. All while navigating compliance changes, running Black Crow AI tests, and launching an Amazon Pilot program bridging Google and Amazon.

CPA Progression (Apr–Aug): The core account maintained a remarkably consistent CPA band of $32–$37 for five straight months while scaling spend from $252K to $311K. September CPA rose to $50.12 due to strategic investments in TOF awareness ($12.3K, 2 conversions) and the Amazon Pilot ($16.6K, 0 conversions expected). Excluding these awareness investments, core campaign CPA remains in the mid-$30s range.

Three Strategy Phases
Phase 1
Foundation (Apr–Jun)
Restructured PMax by product. Launched Subscriptions PMax. Expanded to male market. Maintained $32–$37 CPA while scaling to $311K/month. Worked closely with Google reps from day one to optimize account structure.
Phase 2
NCAC Pivot (Aug)
Launched 4 dedicated NCAC campaigns to acquire net-new customers. $25.7K September spend driving 255 new customer conversions at $100.54 CPA. These customers feed the subscription/repeat purchase engine.
Phase 3
TOF + Q4 Prep (Sep)
Added Video Views awareness campaign ($12.3K) and Amazon Pilot ($16.6K). Creating a "halo effect" to boost all lower-funnel campaigns heading into Q4 holiday season.
NCAC Deep Dive (New Customer Acquisition)
Beginning of August, we pivoted to prioritize bringing new customers into the Vegamour ecosystem. The thesis: invest in NCAC now to build the subscriber and repeat-purchase base that will compound through Q4 and beyond.

Why NCAC Matters: While the $100.54 NCAC CPA is higher than the $46.43 core CPA, these are net-new customers entering the Vegamour ecosystem for the first time. With Vegamour's strong subscription model (45% of purchase revenue comes from subscriptions), each new customer acquired today has a lifetime value that far exceeds the initial acquisition cost. This is the engine that fuels Q4.
TOF Awareness + Amazon Pilot (September Launch)
At the beginning of September, we layered on two strategic initiatives designed to amplify the entire funnel:

Bridging two ecosystems
The TOF Halo Effect: The Video Views campaign launched September 4. Its purpose is not direct conversions; it drives awareness that feeds into Branded Search, Shopping, and PMax campaigns. Similarly, the Amazon Pilot bridges Google's audience network with Amazon's purchase intent, creating a cross-platform acquisition loop. Both are long-term investments in Q4 readiness.
Black Crow AI Integration
We integrated Black Crow AI into the Google Ads ecosystem with two test campaigns:

Google Rep Partnership
Working with Google since Day 1: We began our partnership with the Google Ads team during the very first week of account takeover (April 15). This collaboration has been instrumental in guiding account structure decisions, PMax optimization strategies, audience signal refinement, and budget allocation. The Google team provides ongoing support for bidding strategy optimization and new feature rollouts that we apply to Vegamour's account.

Chapter 3: Microsoft Ads (Bing) — From Dead to Dominant
When we took over in April, the Bing account was essentially dormant with no real strategy. Over five months, we systematically rebuilt it into a high-performing channel that is now Vegamour's most efficient platform by ROAS.

What Changed
May was the inflection point. We deliberately scaled Bing spend to $25.5K to test new campaign structures, knowing it would temporarily compress ROAS. That investment paid off: every month since has shown improving efficiency, even as we optimized spend down to focus budget on the highest-performing campaigns. The key moves:
Restructured PMax (BR Products) as the primary campaign driver
Launched Shopping campaigns segmented by product category
Paused underperforming campaigns and consolidated budget
Added Search campaigns for Problem-Aware, Competitor, and Lash/Brow queries
Began working with Microsoft/Bing reps at the beginning of August to further optimize
READY TO SCALE
At 2.99x ROAS and climbing, Bing is ready for aggressive budget scaling heading into Q4.
Chapter 4: Reddit Ads — Test, Learn, Scale
Reddit was launched in late June as an experimental channel to tap into Vegamour's audience in a new environment. The focus has been on view-through conversions (VTC), recognizing that Reddit users discover products on the platform but often convert later through other touchpoints.

The Reddit Strategy: Unlike Google and Bing where conversions happen directly from ad clicks, Reddit drives view-through conversions (VTC). Users see Vegamour content in their Reddit feeds, become aware of the brand, and then convert through branded search or direct visits later. This is why the standard click-through conversion API shows 0 conversions, while the actual VTC-attributed ROAS is at 4.0x for September. With 828K+ total impressions served, Reddit has built a significant awareness pipeline.
READY TO SCALE
At 4.0x VTC ROAS, Reddit is proven and ready for increased investment heading into Q4.
GRO Shampoo & Conditioner & Serum (Paused, previously used for testing)
GRO+ Supplements (Paused)
GRO Lash Serum (Paused)
Chapter 5: Vibe TV — Connected TV Advertising
Vibe TV extends Vegamour's reach into the Connected TV (CTV) space, delivering premium video ads to cord-cutters and streaming audiences. CTV complements the digital ad strategy by building brand awareness in a high-attention environment.
Data Note: Vibe TV performance data is managed directly through the Vibe platform dashboard. Campaign metrics (impressions, video completion rates, CPM) are available upon request from the Vibe dashboard and will be incorporated into future reporting once API access is established.
The strategic role of Vibe TV in the Vegamour media mix is to provide upper-funnel brand exposure that feeds into search and shopping intent captured by Google, Bing, and Reddit. This is especially valuable heading into Q4 when competition for search terms intensifies and brand awareness becomes the differentiator.
Chapter 6: July Compliance Changes
In July 2026, Vegamour finalized a settlement agreement that required specific changes to advertising claims. We acted swiftly to bring all campaigns into compliance.
Claims Removed: All claims about hair growth, hair thickening, reducing hair loss/shedding, and increasing hair density for the challenged products were removed from ad copy across Google, Bing, and all platforms.
Benefit Claims Banned: Cannot reference "clinically proven," "dermatologist tested," or cite specific percentages about hair growth results for these products.
Products Not Affected: GRO Ageless, Lash Serum, Male Hair Serum, Hydr8 Oil, Style Wand, Scalp Duo, and supplements were NOT part of the settlement and can continue making substantiated claims.
Approved Messaging: Shifted ad copy to focus on "healthy hair routine," "nourishing ingredients," "plant-based hair care," and general wellness language for affected products.
All active ads were audited and updated within the compliance window. New ad copy was written to maintain performance while staying within the settlement guidelines. This is why you see the compliance overhaul as a key milestone in July on the timeline above.
Chapter 7: Q4 Holiday Strategy — Everything Builds to This
Every decision made from April through September has been building toward one moment: Q4 2026. Here is how every piece of the puzzle connects.
22 campaigns, NCAC + TOF + Core. Branded Search as the conversion anchor. PMax campaigns by product for mid-funnel. Amazon Pilot for cross-platform reach.
Bing
2.99x ROAS, Ready to Scale
Most efficient platform. PMax BR Products and Shopping driving strong revenue. Working with Bing reps since August. Scale aggressively for Q4.
Reddit
4.0x VTC ROAS, Scale Mode
High-intent beauty community. View-through conversions feeding branded search. Ready for budget increases heading into Black Friday/holiday.
Vibe TV
CTV Brand Awareness
Premium connected TV placements. Upper-funnel awareness that amplifies all other channels. High-attention video format builds brand recognition.
Key Recommendations for Q4
Scale Bing aggressively. At 2.99x ROAS and climbing, every dollar added to Bing has the highest marginal return of any platform. Double or triple the budget.
Scale Reddit. 4.0x VTC ROAS proves the channel works. Increase budget 2-3x and add new product-specific campaigns for holiday gifting.
Maintain Google NCAC investment. Continue building the new customer base. These customers will convert on Black Friday/Cyber Monday and enter the subscription funnel.
Increase TOF spend closer to Q4. The halo effect takes time. Front-load awareness spending in October so that November/December shopping intent captures the demand.
Prepare holiday-specific campaigns. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, holiday gifting bundles, and end-of-year promos should be built and staged by early October.
Continue Google and Bing rep collaboration. Leverage platform reps for early access to holiday features, audience insights, and bidding strategy updates.
